Affordable Honeymoon Packages

Where can I find a nice but yet affordable Honeymoon location in the U.S.?

I'm looking for any affordable locations here in the U.S. I am not wanting to travel outside the U.S. My current location is Texas. I am looking to keep the cost between $1500 to $3000. I'm looking at sometime in June or July of 2008.

  1. Rent a cabin in the Smokies or go to the beach in Gulf Shores, AL or Pensacola Beach, FL. Those are all very affordable places to visit and relax.
  2. Look for a deal in Atlantic City or Las Vegas. Most hotel and food rates are cut deep to attract gamblers. As long as you and the Mrs don't have the need to gamble AC ,Reno,Vegas are all travel bargains.Be sure not to give in to the temptation to gamble or you and your new bride will be starting off "in debt "instead of "in love."I had a steak diner soup to nuts for $5.00 a person. My room was $50. at one of the older but well kept up hotels. And the trip to Hoover Dam was a nice day trip.Air fare was also cheap.
  3. Try Puerto Rico.. I honeymooned there at the Westin Rio Mar.. It's a commonwealth of the US and it's a tropical island... You can go on a tour of the Bacardi Rum Factory, shop in OLD San Juan.. You can resort hop to different Casinos at different hotels.. Or you can just relax at the hotel and enjoy the beach. there is a beautiful rain forest El Yunce? we loved it.
  4. Check out the following website... http://www.tvtravelpackage.com/cb9947 (It will prompt you to enter in your name and email before sending you to the main site) It is a very reasonably priced vacation package...$995 for approximately 30 vacations! The vacations are usually for 2 people but sometimes more. Check it out...then you'd have a variety of places to choose from and you can use the rest for anniversaries and other occassions! If you have any questions feel free to email me at c_nerau@yahoo.com ...Go and see if it's for you, you never know!
  5. There are alot of places to go. Some suggestions: Seattle, is a beatiful place, Denver, Phoenix-Scottsdale, Las Vegas-it seems everyone does a honeymoon in vegas-you could end up in debt by the end of the trip, Lake Tahoe, Florida, many places to stay an see, Nashville-if you love country music, New York City-can be on the expensive side just for food, or rent a car and drive in a region, like San Francisco to San Diego, the California coast has alot to offer and see, or take a river cruise on the Mississippi Queen for a couple of days. It all depends on what you want to do and for how long.
