What are the holidays in the Philippines that need to be ruled out?

How will the reduction of the number of holidays in the Philippines help us? Is it really bad if we have a big number of such? I just need your opinion...

1. A lot of businesses think its bad because they lose profit on these holidays. Some people are on "no work no pay" employment category so they lose a day's work too. Of course most employees love it though. I think Bonifacio day, the first day of Ramadan (forgot what its called), Edsa revolution day are holidays that nobody seems to care about so why celebrate or commemorate this? It can be ruled out I think.
2. I love holidays... I love it the way it is... I don't think adding a few days of work would have a significant impact on gross production,so I say let the peopleenjoy a day's rest :)
3. Regarding holidays in the Philippines, I think the RP Govt should do the following: 1) Declare the official non-working holidays for the upcoming year at the end of the previous year (example: holidays for all 2008 declared in December 2007). This way, businesses can adjust with plenty of lead time, instead of the current system where holidays can be declared with as little notice as the day before. 2) Adopt the system that the US has for holidays that occur midweek. Except for the obvious exceptions such as Christmas, Eid al-Fitr, and Independence Day that must be celebrated on the exact date, any other holiday that occurs on Tuessday & Wednesday will be observeded on Monday, Thursday Holidays will be observed on Friday. Workers get a long weekend, and will be productive the rest of the week. (Itaas ang kamay yung nag sickcall sa Monday, kung holiday sa Tuesday??? Hmmm??)
4. Pimpys follow Spanish tradition. Any excuse for a holiday/fiesta will do. Reduce holidays ? You'll start a revolt!
5. hindi naman holidays ang dapat ma ruled out sa Pilipinas ang dapat na mawala ay yung mga tao na nagdidiklara na walang pasok pagkatapos natulog lang pagka-gising ay iba na naman ang desisyon. Dito lang ata sa atin iniiba ang mga petsa ng walang pasok bakit di na lang pabayaan kung saang araw pumatak bakit kailangan pang baguhin wala namang nangyayari
