Good honeymoon resorts in the Florida Keys?? Or other honeymoon beach locations in the US? Thank you!? I am getting married in June and I am looking for a good honeymoon spot in the Florida Keys. We would like a Caribbean, tropical beach feel (while staying in the US) so I thought the Keys would be perfect. I haven't had a ton of luck on the the internet so far. Everything is either way too expensive or looks kinda dumpy. I am looking for a nice resort or hotel, on the beach with a pool, for no more than $250 a night? I would like to stay closer to $150-$200 a night. Anyone know of any thing like this? It doesn't have to be right in the Florida Keys either. I would love to hear about any nice beach location in the U.S that is somewhat affordable and good for a romantic honeymoon. Thank you in advance!
What are some great honeymoon spots in Florida? I am getting married in Miami (South Beach!). I would like to also honeymoon in Florida, but NOT Miami or Tampa. Any ideas - whether it is general areas of Florida, or if you know of any specific resorts?
Any good resort ideas for a honeymoon leaving from Florida? I have been on some cruises but never done the "resort" vacations. Any ideas? Are the Sandals resorts any good? What are the approximate costs leaving from Jacksonville for about a week to any of them?

Quiet beach resort for honeymoon in Florida? My Fiance and I are starting to look at places to honeymoon. We are getting married August 16th 2008. We want to go to Florida. We are thinking of doing 5-6 days in Orlando and go to Disney (he's been tons, I've never been) and then possibly staying at a beach resort/hotel for another 5-6 days. We may also think of doing the beach resort first, let everything soak in, relax from the wedding craziness and then do Disney. We know where we want to stay in Disney, but we're clueless when it comes to beaches in Flordia. Any suggestions? We're open to anything, we'd like something quiet and secluded right on the beach! TIA!
honeymoon at Disneyland resort, Florida....? how much would a honeymoon at DLR cost if: -you are staying at the wilderness lodge honeymoon suite -its for a week -you also obviously want to get on the rides in the park for a week *how much would food cost and buying stuff...how much would you bring to sped on your honeymoon* PLEASE HELP AND THANK YOU!

I'd like to plan my honeymoon in the Florida Keys for next month -need suggestions!? I'm getting married next month and we'd like to go to the Keys (I know its last minute!). Advice for travelling to Florida for honeymoon please...? My fiance and I are travelling to Florida on 1st December till 21st December for our honeymoon. We are staying at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes, Grand Beach Vacation Resort, Lake Bryan and Orlando World Center Marriott. Please can you offer advice on places to eat, good taxi companies, how to get around without a hire car, what are the places not to miss and anything else you can offer that will help us during our holiday. Thank you so much! Oh and how much spending money for 3 weeks. Thank you! And what to pack. What is the weather like at this time of year. Thank you again! Haha I'm stupid I forgot to say. We're going to all the theme parks, discovery cove, sea world, gator land, the kennedy space centre. We're going to Miami and Clear Water Beach for the day. Any nice romantic restaurants would be nice.
florida honeymoon locations? Price? City? Resort?
Has anyone stayed in a resort in North Carolina or Florida? Me and my fiance are getting married soon, and we want our honeymoon to be at a resort in either North Carolina or Florida. We reside in Naryland, and do not want to fly, which is why we choose Florida or North Carolina. Has anyone stayed in a resort in these states? If so, which would you recommend? All inclusive would be better. Thank you!!
where should I go for my honeymoon in July? Is a tropical destination out of the question? I have always wanted to go to the Carribean or an all-inclusive resort somewhere tropical. (romantic, on the ocean, adults only etc) I am concerned that July is a bad time of year for a tropical vacation. I really want to leave for the honeymoon right after the wedding (july 14th). I am afraid most places will be too hot or hurricane season. I am not opposed to staying in the U.S. but my guess is Florida would be too hot and I've really never been anywhere else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
How to get to Nassau from Florida by boat? I am trying to figure out a way to get to the Sandals Resort at Nassau for a honeymoon without having to take an airplane. Any ideas? I have found some cruise-and-stay packages online but I don't want to book a hotel with them since I want to stay at Sandals.
Can i get a honeymoon upgrade? My partner and i are going to florida in july 08, we will be stopping in the grand floridian walt disney world resort. We were thinking of booking a better quality of room but are unsure whether this would be free for us as an upgrade when we get there. If anybody has been to that resort especially for their honeymoon, can you let me know if you were offered a free upgrade.
disney resort florida? if i stay at a disney resort are the park tickets included in the price or is it hotel only then you have to buy the ultimate or premium ticket on top? also do you have to pay for food or is this included in price this is for my honeymoon so will probably be staying at one of the deluxe resorts instead of all star. thanks
Walt Disney World Resort Honeymoon? Does WDW in Florida offer any special amenities for people on their honeymoons? For example is it possible to get a king bed in a standard room instead of the double bed? I am planning on staying at either the Grand Floridian or the Yatch Club. Thanks
Staying at The Fountains resort in Orlando Florida? Just booked our hotel for 5 nights at the fountains in orlando for our honeymoon. they don't have a website so its hard to find information. do they pick you up at the airport? do they have free continental breakfast? is there a grocery store within walking distance? just wanting some details~ thanks!!
All inclusive resorts for families? I've been trying to look up resorts in either mexico or florida as a family trip. However, all the reviews I've looked at for different resorts mention that it is mostly for couples. Does anyone know of a nice resort that is more family oriented and not as much for honeymooning couples? Thanks.
Disney World Honeymoon? Bit of an early question, but Me and my Fiance would like to take a trip to Disney World Florida for our honeymoon in 2011, I know it's incredibly early but Is it possible if anyone could tell me how much it will all cost for, hotel, food, plane, literally everything. We want to stay for 3 weeks and are aiming for a value or possibly moderate resort. Plus if possible any tips for honeymoons at disney. Thanks in advance We want to go in september if that helps.
Honeymoon in FL? My fiance and I are getting married in April and decided we would like to have our honeymoon in South Florida. Its not too far and it will be nice in the spring... Does anyone know of any good resorts in South FL? Something preferably all inclusive, but if it's not, that's ok too...

What accomadations should I use in St. Augustine, Florida? My fiance and I are planning a trip to St. Augustine. It will be a short weekend...leave Friday (about a 2 hour trip) and return Sunday night. This is going to be our romantic getaway since he came back from his orders in the Army. I want this to be a romantic weekend. Let me say a few things that may help some of you that are familiar with the accomodations. I don't like bed and breakfasts (I know that this is crazy but just a small house makes me nervous..I'm more of a resort girl). I like something on the beach. He says he really wants something on the beach! My "dream room" would be something with a Jacuzzi in it preferably that looked over the beach. I want this to be the greatest weekend. Before he left we did this in Jacksonville and it was wonderful...This is also serving as our honeymoon so add that into consideration...Thanks in advance for any ideas you have!! Thank you!!!!!
I'm getting married 2008 in april and i'm searching for the perfect Beachotel/ Beach resort for the honeymoon. We are a young couple,Can't afford much, can't go over 200$ per night and would like to have access to the beach, please help . Should be in Florida (Miam or Fort Lauderdale ) Thanks
Have you ever been to the Florida Keys? My fiance and I are looking to go there next June for our honeymoon, and i am just looking for some input on what its like there, what are the best places to eat, the best things to do, the prettiest sunsets/beaches/views, etc. We are looking at staying at Hawks Cay resort in Duck Key (near Marathon). Any help, advice, reviews, or internet links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
My fiance and I are trying to plan a honeymoon that's somewhat tropical... NEED HELP? We want a place that's somewhat tropical, preferably at an all-inclusive resort. Orlando, FL. Honeymoon Location- HELP!? My fiance' and I are getting married Jan 2010 and immediately going to Orlando, Florida for our honeymoon. We are debating on 2 places and cannot decide but the hotels need booked by this weekend! The first place, Bonnet Creek, is a GORGEOUS resort near Disney. Most of the reviews recommend it for a honeymoon and/or young couples, which we are. There are pools and jacuzzis and just gorgeous. HOWEVER - there will be construction going on from here til june 2010 and we would have to rent a car because its not near downtown orlando. The second place - Cypress Palms is in downtown orlando and is a gorgeous resort as well. It had several reviews saying it was a fun family resort. The resort is in walking distance of several restaurants, stores, and has shuttles that go to sea world and universal studios, so we may not have to rent a car. However - many of the reviews say they did not recommend it as a honeymoon spot. HELP PLEASE! and one more thing, Please dont provide me with other locations. I just need your advice on the 2 listed. Thanks I know its not downtown. What I meant was in walking distance to a lot of places and closer to the parks, like Universal
How to Plan a Honeymoon? We just wanted to share our experience of honeymoon. We have write down how to plan a honeymoon.. Seeking all of your help in anything else, which we have left... STEP 1: Narrow your destination to a select tropical area. Consider the Bahamas, Jamaica, Hawaii or the South Pacific. STEP 2: Consider all-inclusive resorts for couples for a romantic, tropical vacation without the coordination stress. STEP 3: Ask about special couples-only features: his and hers spa treatments, isolated bungalows, private dinners. STEP 4: Research water sports and other activities in the area where you're traveling. If you are looking for an active honeymoon, make sure that there is adequate opportunity for sports and activity. I think Florida can be an expensive choice http://www.a1floridarentalvacation.com , what you think? Please share all of your experience...
Beach Weddings in Florida? Hi, I am looking to get married this February in Florida. My boyfriend and I are just going to drive down, get married, and have our honeymoon. We just want something simple although we are looking for a great resort that does weddings there. Neither of us have ever seen beautiful blue/green water and white sand beaches so that is a must with us. Does anyone know of any great resorts? Thanks!!
Honeymoon Help! Can someone tell me a bit more or offer me some advice on where to honeymoon in July? I am planning a honeymoon for July. I am stuck between Aruba, Key West Florida, California, or Jamaica. Basically I don't want to go anywhere that is 150 degrees, being that it's July. I want some stuff to do (nothing crazy, but i dont want to be bored or lay on the beach EVERY day). I want nice warm water. I want a nice room and I am leaning more towards all inclusive. I don't want to be on a plane for 5-6 hours either. I'd be flying out of Newark or Philly. Any recommendations, resorts you've been at that are reasonably priced!?

THANKS A MILLION. any other ideas for where to go? not europe!! (we want two or three parts to our honeymoon--we will only do it once!) for the interest of ''JESTER'' how dare u think that we are throwing money at our marriage. we have been together 10 years and have saved long and hard for our wedding and honeymoon, we have not been on holiday abroad together yet because we have been saving and want to spoil ourselves so EXCUSE ME and how selfish we are for wanting to enjoy ourselves. we are not entering into marriage with our eyes closed. ud want to stop being so presumptious about others and id need a plane to get to cornwall from ireland so stuff ur carbon footprint AND STUFF YOU.

Is it easy to take public transportation in Orlando? I will be in florida for 1 week for my honeymoon and looking at renting a car, but we will spend alot of time at our fab resort and also 2 days in Disney so I was wondering if we would be better off just taking public traspo?
Honeymoon Suggestions??? We are going on our honeymoon the first week of November 2008. We are looking for somewhere in the U.S. We want to go somewhere that is not within driving distance from us, so that rules out Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi. Neither of us are entertained by the water/beach scene so we have no desire to go to California or Florida. We’ve also been to New York, so that is excluded as well. We are open to a small town, large town, resort area… Any suggestions?
I have a Florida beach wedding in mind but I don't live in Florida...? I don't live in Florida (I've vacation there plenty of times) so there are a lot of things I don't know. I don't know what month is good or what service to use for the planning and execution of the ceremony and small reception. I'm guessing we will have around 25 guests (maybe less) and we wanted to do it this fall (september, october, or november). We thought it would be easiest to simply pick a resort, pick a date, and go with whatever package they offer that fits the budget. Here are the worries: Hurricanes or cold weather (because we will honeymoon for a week or so after the wedding in florida as well). Please, fill me with suggestions. I feel like if I don't plan this thing now we will have to wait for next year.
Where should I go for my honeymoon? Hello, My fiance and I will be getting married in Florida in June. We are unsure as to where to take our honeymoon. We would like as easy as a place to get to as possible that offers complete relaxation. We would like for it to not be uncomfortably hot and would like an very nice resort, something like the Ritz Carolton. I have a list of places that I have never really heard of but if someone could please give me suggestions I would really appreciate it. Parrot Cay, Grace Bay Club, The Body Holiday, Las Casitas Golden Door, St Regis, Cotton House, Firefly Mustique, Hotel Carl Gustaf, Petit St Vincent Resort, Wyndham Sugar Bay, Ladera St Lucia, Anse Chastanet, Westin Our Lucaya, Beach House Barbuda, Four Seasons Nevis, Tamarind Cove, Bucuti, Divi Southwinds, Feinandez Bay Village, The Biltmore in North Carolina. Again, any comments would be helpful. Thank you.
My honeymoon.....where to? Im getting married on may 2nd, but we cant leave for our honeymoon till may 7th. But dont know where we want to go. We are going on a family vacation in april to florida so I dont want to do that twice. I was thinking something like a resort, anything fun really. We will also be taking our son who will be about 8 1/2 months then because I cant stand to leave him. And most likely my mom (& 8 yr old lil brother- have to) to take care of my son. So where is somewhere fun...this is more like a vacation for us. Thanks! Any ideas are great. Ohh it has to be in the US (I dont want to fly). And we dont mind things like outdoor things, it doesnt have to be on the beach. I was kinda thinking somewhere in Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina. Just ideas but I dont know where..... Thats soo weird...my fiance just came into the room and suggested we do a tennessee cabin around pigeon forge or the smokey mountains...then I look and someone said the same thing! We finally made up our mind!!! But thanks to everyone else.
Destination Wedding?? OR NOT?? Hi. My finance and I are about to start planning our wedding. We thought about going somewhere tropical...we just don't know where. We also don't really know how it all works with the wedding guests. Do you invite everyone to stay at the same resort and have them leave after the wedding so we can honeymoon or do you have them stay at a different resort (afterall it is a vacation for them too) We also thought about just having a wedding in Destin, Fl at a resort then honeymoon in the Florida Keys.. We also did think about a traditional wedding in a church in our hometown with a big reception and the whole 9 yards. I just don't know if I will regret not having a big traditional wedding?!? What to do??? Any suggestions???
best places in the carribbean to honeymoon? My FH and I are starting to talk about honeymoons. We'll be getting married in early September of NEXT year, so there's plenty of time to plan! There are a few things we know we want, somewhere as 'all inclusive' as possible, meaning more like a resort than a B&B, where we really don't HAVE to leave if we don't want to, but if we decide to explore there's something interesting to see outside the resort. Also should be somewhere where he can go fishing one day and I can go to a nice spa (in the resort preferably) but overall somewhere where we don't really have to think or worry about anything and just eat and drink and be 'merry'. We live in south Florida, so anywhere in the Carribbean is an option, we just don't travel much and are looking for suggestions =)
Atlantis Resort in Bahams?!?!? I am planning my Wedding in Florida and Honeymoon in the Bahamas. Would really appreciate any advice from people who have stayed at Atlantis. It looks so beautiful but busy! How much does anyone think a flight would cost from Orlando to Paradise Island? And is Atlantis a romantic place for honeymooners?! What is included in the price of you night accomodation? I know there is so much to do and so many things to see which is why we intend to stay at least five nights. Money isnt really a problem I would just like to know how much anyone thinks I'll need? By the way we are planning November 08. Thanks! Thanks for all your response, I would also like to add that we want tromantyic but not quiet so I think it sounds like a perfect place. Neither of us do relaxing very well and think we'd get bored somewhere really qiet and tranquil! This is why we are getting married at Disney world!
Sending welcome baskets to honeymooners at Walt Disney Resort?Best way? My sister and her fiance are planning a wedding and reception in their hometown in Buffalo, but since most of her family is relocated to florida the family that can't go to that wedding is all meeting up with them during their honeymoon in florida at WDW. They are staying at a separate resort from the rest of us and we are having one planned day of everyone together and the rest unscheduled so the honeymooners can decide what they want to do with family and when they want to. Back to the question, I'm her Maton of Honor and have made a welcome to disney package with custom water bottles, snack, disney info (its his first time and her second time-the last time she went was when I took her for her 6th birthday) I want to get it to their room for them for their checkin as a special surprise. We will arrive a bit before them so I may be able to get to their resort to drop it off but will disney put it in their room or hold it for them? or would it be better to ship to the resort ahead of time and let them pick it up when the arrived? If anyone has done something similar I'd love to hear how you did it and what your experience was! I don't want to do a florist delivered basket since I have the personalized items already:) Thanks!
Stay on international Drive or in a walt Disney resort? Hi, I really hope someone can help. I am going to Florida in September for my honeymoon and I’m torn between staying on international Drive and in one of the Disney hotels. I am currently set to stay at the Rosen Centre on International drive but after reading various reviews im worrying I have made the wrong decision. As it is our honeymoon im looking for both luxury, entertainment (particularly on a night), and that WOW factor. After discussing it with our travel agent we have the option to pay a bit more and move to the Walt Disney Dolphin Hotel and I really don’t know what to do. Im aware that International Drive is pretty far from Disney and as we wont be hiring a car will probs only go a few times should we stay at Disney. Any idea what the night life is like in the Disney resorts? Can I ask peoples opinion on whether they prefer to stay on international Drive or would you prefer to stay in one Disney resorts? Any advise (or feedback on the rosen centre/disney dolphin hotel) would be much appreciated Many thanks Steven
US east coast honey moon ideas? Honeymoon help! Need a US location about 8 hours from NYC!? Hi! we finally booked our reception hall and are getting married next June! Yeah! We are taking a break from all the vendor calls and trying to figure out a honeymoon location. Ideally less than 8 hours from NYC, We are actually a little bit north of the city, but that was the Best reference point. (I already checked out Gatlinburg, TN and it's 12 hours away - too far). Also, we are using my sister's timeshare, so I'm really interested in places that can give a honeymoon feel, and not actual resorts. Just want to make this trip worthwhile. Her ownership would allow us to go to Spain, Italy, the Caribbean, Florida. But we aren't going to fly and Florida is too far to drive. (Also, I didn't care for the resorts in her book for the Pocono mountains, so that's out) I know that you don't know what company she deals with. That's ok. Right now, I just want to know what towns would you suggest 400 miles or so from NYC for a couple on their honeymoon? Are there any?
Beautiful Beach Wedding Locations? Hi, I am looking to get married this February in Florida. My boyfriend and I are just going to drive down, get married, and have our honeymoon. We just want something simple although we are looking for a great resort that does weddings there. Neither of us have ever seen beautiful blue/green water and white sand beaches so that is a must with us. Does anyone know of any great resorts? Thanks!!

First year anniversary, Where to go? We live in Central FL and we went to Sandals Antigua Resort for our honeymoon. Now our first year anniversary is coming up in October and I would like to go somewhere for a long weekend. We could stay in FL or travel. I would like to keep the over all exspense under $800 including travel, room & food. We would like something relaxing, a pampering spa weekend resort would be the ultimate but I don't know where to look for something like that besides just booking a hotel that offers a massage which is not what I mean. Please give me your ideas inside of Florida and traveling that wouldnt blow our budget.
My Fiance and I? are planning our honeymoon! And we both listed places in the US that we would like to go. He has just been about everywhere there is. I have NEVER seen the ocean before or been anywhere out central america, so we both agreed on Key West Florida. Does anyone have a great or awesome Hotel or Resort that they recommened? Or what we should do?
Destination wedding? I'm looking for places to plan a destination wedding/honeymoon. I really wanted an all-inclusive resort that is very secluded. I was looking in to Sandals, but my guess would be that it gets pretty crowded. Also, our families will be joining us for the wedding, and I want them to stay at a hotel that is far... far... away because we will be on our honeymoon and I don't really want to ever see them =). I was also thinking about having the wedding in Florida (we live in Louisiana), and the honeymoon in the Caribbean. I’m open to any options! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! I know I want a destination wedding because I just want our immediate family to attend and I also know that it would cost a lot less and be something special to remember. I just do not want to spend time with my parents on our honeymoon, is that so much to ask? lol

Looking for Perfect Romantic Vacation for December Anniversary!!!? I want to plan a great, romantic (and hopefully, but not required cheap) vacation for my one year anniversary to my husband. I would like to surprise him with the trip destination. For our honeymoon, we went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for about a week. We have also visited Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and California since getting married. We are not opposed to going out of the country as we both will have passports soon. We love all climates, the beach and mountains. We like water rafting, swimming, etc.My husband does not snorkel or dive, but that can be an activity that is available. We have never been on a cruise or to an all-inclusive resort (either together or separate), but are not opposed to those either. Any suggestions on destinations, hotels, activities, etc. would be appreciated! I would like to keep the accommodations, travel expenses, etc. under $4000 (excluding food, activities, and spending money) because we will be traveling close to Christmas time. THANK YOU!!!! Need Vacation Ideas!!!!? My wife and I never got to on a honeymoon after our wedding 7 months ago. Now we have the opportunity to finally go, but we have no ideas. We live in Ohio so we would definitely like to go somewhere warm, It seems that our best options are to go to either Southern Florida, or to somewhere in the Carribean. We have a spending limit of 1000 a person, there are two of us, so that makes $2000 (which includes round trip flights and hotels/resort) can someone give me a place that would be quiet, reasonably priced and a ton of fun. Mexico is out of the question... I would also like to go somewhere with clear water... any ideas or can anyone speak from experience.
