Looking for details about Disney Honeymoons - prices, worth it, fun? I've been looking for information about Disney Honeymoons, but all I can find is Disney's "of course they're wonderful" sales pitch. I'm sure someone out there has been on one - is it really nice? How much did it cost? Is it worth it? Also, I'm allergic to alcohol - is it more than just free drinks? I know things like prices change, but we're looking for even a rough estimate to see if it's in our price range. I asked Disney for that kind of information, and they sent me a DVD of people on rides and drinking wine with dinner. Increadibly not helpful.

Honeymoons, Grooms parents buying etc...? Yes, we're starting the ideas rolling already, as we're getting married! He got me a small 1/4 carat ring to wear while we run around & pick out the real rock - 1 Carat (lol).. I plan to keep the little one to give to our Daughter(AFTER we have one!). Anyhow, my real query is this: I am paying for the Wedding, & my hubby-to-be's ring. *My Dad set me up with a $10K Dowry a few years ago for my wedding. HIS parents are expected to pay for the Honeymoon, by tradition. If we're spending $10K on the wedding, what is an appropriate Honeymoon budget? (He already wants to do a week in Hawaii, + a week in Australia or New Zealand.) I come from an upper middle class family, as does he. Him & his father own & run their own large construction business, so money is not quite the issue. But I want to know that I am not overstepping my bounds? (though HE is the one picking the honeymoon lol) I was thinking that no more than $2,500 or $3,000 should we be asking them to spend, if that! Any ideas? You are missing the point. It IS traditional for the Groom's parents to offer to pay for the honeymoon, just as it is for the Bride's parents to offer to pay for the Wedding! I am not, though I could, paying for my own honeymoon along with my wedding. I want to know how much anyone else's hubby-to-be's parents shelled out for the big trip! Inexpensive honeymoons inside the US? We had almost decided on skipping the honeymoon - but we do want to do something. We need to be able to drive there. That's the biggie!! Sightseeing-type honeymoons in the US? Looking for suggestions. We are doing a delayed honeymoon so season doesn't matter - - will leave on a Saturday morning and come home the following Sunday (8 days). My fiance hates the beach . Also, right now he doesn't have a passport (I'm working on that) so we need to keep it to the US. I absolutely LOVE the idea of flying into Phoenix and hitting Sedona, Grand Canyon, and jumping over to NM to visit one of my favorite charities Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary ( http://www.wildspiritwolfsanctuary.org/ ) A few of these also interested me: http://www.uncommonjourneys.com/destinations.htm the Northwest, West, and South all look so great. The Canadian Rockies would be fantastic if we get the fiance a passport. Maine is another possible I have been considering. Its on me to plan & he's always liked what I plan but I want to make this memorable! Do you have any ideas/suggestions? I know the canada rules - I have family in BC. The wedding is Oct '09, after the passport is a must for driving over the border and since we know we will be postponing, it probably won't be until 2010 when we go. Delayed or Postponed Honeymoons? How many other BTBs are going this route? I am! We have family flying in from outside the country to attend our wedding (some who have never been to the U.S. before) and we want some time to spend with them locally after the actual wedding (I don't know how much time I will be able to spend with them prior to the wedding anyway). My fiance's mom is coming in from out of state and she hasn't been back to the area in 20 years or more. Prices of Disney Honeymoons? My finacee' and I have decided to go to Disney World for our honeymoon. I was browsing the site and seeing what they had to offer. What I would like to know, is the price they quote on a moderate hotel or is your choice? Or if you get to choose how much would the price go up? I do plan on making a call to Disney for more information but I would like to book it asap, since I'm getting married in June. While the website was helpful in me deciding what package to take it didn't give too many details on how you go about getting the hotels.
