Honeymoon Cruise Packages Knowledge Base
Does anyone know of any cruise websites that offer honeymoon packages or anything like that? We are gonna have a local honeymoon, spend a couple of days in a cabin at a nice state park, but we really want to take an all inclusive cruise around our one year anniversary for our real honeymoon. We are gonna save up some money in that year until then but why spend extra money if we can get some sort of discount or a honeymoon package. Plus we would be booking it a while in advance. We wanna go somwhere like around Austrailia, and New Zealand maybe Amsterdam, haven't decided for sure yet just wanna do some research and see what I can find out about that. Any and all information will be helpful and Thanks to all answers in advance!! : )

On a Disney Cruise package for 4 days land and 3 days at sea, can you pick your hotel at the park? I was on line earlier looking at booking a package for our honeymoon. We wanted to spend more money on a nice room at sea and stay at one of the all-star resorts at the park. They would only let you chose one of the 3 higer price hotels to stay at the park. Is it better AND cheaper to book through a local travel agent in our town? We just wanted a cheaper room at WDW park since we are never going to be there in the room that much. Thanks
Honeymoon: Cruise or On Land? We are having a late May or early June wedding (still more than a year off) and are looking at beach/water/tropical honeymoons. My fiance wants a cruise, I want to be on land (I am not a big fan of being confined to a ship, even with occasional - expensive - shore excursions. The size of the rooms is much smaller than a land hotel, and food can get expensive.) What are the benefits and drawbacks of each, because we're a little bit at a standstill? Do you have any recommendations that might be a compromise (a package of a few days' cruise, a few days on land)? Our budget isn't huge but it isn't tiny, and we aren't set on the Caribbean or Hawaii or anything, but definitely western hemisphere. Thanks!
What's a good name for a travel business? I'm starting a travel business with my Mom. She is 50+ and I am 24. It will be a home-based business targeting all travelers and all areas of travel (car rental, cruise, honeymoon, complete packages, airfare, etc.) We don't want anything cheesy. We've thought of a lot but it seems like they are all taken. Help please, thanks!!
Costa Rica or cruise for honeymoon? Costa Rica seems beautiful and its less expensive, found a package for 1k includin airfare, but im worried about safety and the hassle it would be to fly there. I would want to enjoy nitelife but many say its not safe. The cruises are double but include food and would seem safer and there is plenty to do. It also seems easier to plan since costa rica i would have to do tours and look up nearby attractions. Overall which place is better?
Sandals Jamaica for Honeymoon? Has anyone done Sandals resorts in Jamaica? We're looking at Montego Bay, Royal Caribbean, and Negril. We're also considering the Sandals Bahamas but for the same price as a beach front concierge in Jamaica, you only get a balcony or patio with a garden view. I'm also wondering what people think about the honeymoon package. The package is $1800 and you get Exclusive private transfer from airport with fruit, champagne and chocolate, Private four-course dinner oceanside for two, Breakfast in bed Rose petal bath for two, Couples champagne massage Honeymoon photo session*, One Complimentary 5 x 7 honeymoon photograph, Sunset Cruise , Picnic for two on private offshore island, massage lesson. It seems like on our budget, we can do (1)Jamaica - a balcony with a garden view and get the honeymoon package (2)Jamaica - the better room with a walk out oceanfront but no honeymoon package. (3) Bahamas balcony/patio with garden view, no honeymoon package. Which seems like a better option? We're looking to use frequent flyer miles so we can only go to Jamaica or Bahamas.
What are the best cruises with a wedding package? My boyfriend and I are considering doing a private wedding in Jamaica (or elsewhere) next spring. I want this to be beautiful and memorable, but it doesn't have to break our bank! Cheap but good cruiselines with a wedding (or honeymoon) packages please! Thanks!
I have a question about Carnival Cruises and what is involved in the cost that you pay. PLEASE HELP? We are getting married in September of this year. We want to take a cruise for our honeymoon. This will be our first time going on a cruise for the both of us. I have been looking into some Carnival Cruise packages and what not. But my question is what is all included on the price that you pay per person. A friend of mine said that when she and her husband went on a cruise that everything was included in their price they paid except for the alcohol. Is this true for all of their cruises or for the special packages?? PLEASE SOME HELP IS REALLY NEEDED THIS WAY??
What's the better deal? A trip to Atlantis or a cruise to the Bahama's for 6 days? My husband and I are both military and have not taken a honeymoon yet (we have 2 children). We want to go to the carribean and get the best out of it for 6 days. Great food and great excursions, just a good time for first timers. If you choose a cruise, which one is a good cruise with good food? I prefer it's a fun cruise. Also if we stay at Atlantis, do they have package deals?
Making reservations for specialty dining on NCL? Hi- We are booked on the Norwegian Jewel. Seven days leaving out of New York. This is our honeymoon cruise. We decided to purchase on of the "honeymoon packages" this includes a free dinner and bottle of wine at Le Bistro. I know for any of the specialty dining rooms you need to make reservations. Can you make them ahead of time by calling the cruise line or do we wait until we get on board. Also, do we go that particular dining room to make the reservations or do you go to guest services? How far ahead can we make the reservation. like if we went there during the day time would there be anyone there to take the reservation? Also, I know the dress code seems a lot more casual on NCL but we can dress up somewhat for Le Bistro. My husband does not want to where a tie or jacket. That would be okay right. Thanks in advance.
Norwegian Jewel..reservations for dining rooms? We are going on the Norwegian Jewel out of NYC the end of April. This is our second cruise but our first with NCL. This is a belated honeymoon cruise. We want to have the best time possible and we are excited about the trip. However, I have been reading a lot of negative reviews about NCL. Mostly about the freestyle dining. We have purchased one of the honeymoon packages which includes a dinner for 2 at Le Bistro with a free bottle of wine. The cover charge is waived. Anyway, is making a reservation for the specialty or even the regular dining rooms complete chaos? Can we make reservations for Le Bistro ahead of time or do we have to wait until we get on the ship. How many days in advance do we need to make them? Also, I know the dress code throughout the cruise line is casual. Does that include the specialty dining rooms?
Where should we go for our honeymoon? Looking for some personal experience of a good honeymoon within a reasonable price. We would love to do an all-inclusive, but are open to any place that's warm with a beach. We'll be travelling this September. Sandals is $1500 for five nights-- has anyone had a good experience with an all-inclusive for any less than that? Or advice on how to find a really good cruise package? Any favorite loacations that we should just try to find a good hotel+flight deal on? Please don't just say "I heard Florida is good" or something like that. I'm looking for specific towns I may not have thought of, specific hotels you've had a good experience at, and things like that. We're a simple couple with simple tastes, just want somewhere warm and safe, in a town with stuff to do when we're not at the beach. Thanks in advance!
How to get to Nassau from Florida by boat? I am trying to figure out a way to get to the Sandals Resort at Nassau for a honeymoon without having to take an airplane. Any ideas? I have found some cruise-and-stay packages online but I don't want to book a hotel with them since I want to stay at Sandals.
Honeymoon Hotels in Thailand? My fiance and I are planning our Honeymoon for October 2010 in Thailand. We are looking for recommended hotels from those who have ACTUALLY stayed in them, so please describe your experience and why you recommend it. (Or why you don't recommend it.) We've been googling like crazy and all we can find are horrifyingly expensive rates ($600 USD a night!!!) or very, very cheesy packages like those found at www.honeymoonthailand.com. Here is what we are looking for: (it doesn't have to have everything on the list) - $100 USD or LESS per night. - Honeymoon benefits (free massage, free breakfast, anything) - Intimate/quaint! Non-commercials hotels/inns/bed&breakfast are great if you can recommend. - Locations are negotiable since we want to see a lot of Thailand. Bangkok and Phuket for sure, even though they are so far from each other. Something in between might be nice. - 14 nights most likely, so any deals surrounding that are great too - Split nights between multiple hotels okay, if we can get some good recommendations - Private tours are a plus! - Pool or hot tub is a plus, but not required. - Airport pick-up/drop-off a plus. We are NOT looking for: - Cheesy tourist packages - Cruises - 100% beach. We want to see a lot of the rich Thai culture, not just beaches. - 40+ person tour with lots of college kids. Its our honeymoon, not our spring break. Thank you in advance! I always choose "best answer" so please be thorough and helpful!
Simple ceremony on a cruise? My fiance and I are undecided about where/how to get married. It is already determined it will be pretty much us, for us. Not concerned with hosting an audience. We plan to honeymoon on a cruise. Was considering a simple ceremony on board. Anyone know the feasibility, or do the cruise lines generally try to promote a large event package? We just need a JOP or non-demoninational to marry us.
Honeymoon ideas? I am going to get married in 11/07. I am looking for ideas for a honeymoon. I think I am thinking along the line of another country (Italy, Greece, Europe?). I don't want to be in an island or cruise (don't want to be in a beach all week). Any ideas? Ofcourse I am looking for something affordable as well but still it should be nice. Anyone have ideas of places or good packages out there?
Sea Sick Honeymoon?? My fiance really wants a cruise for our honeymoon, but I told him no. Instead I sugested a trip/stay in vegas after the wedding. But I have been looking at alot f cruise options, and they look great! I really like the idea that if we went on a cruise, some of them have daycare/babysitting for our 1 year old son. Anways, The only reason that I said no to a cruise was that I have never been on a boat. I am afraid that we are going to get this great package and then it turns out that I get sea sick!! Now, I dont get sick easily... I love roler coasters and other such things. But is there anything I can do to settle my nerves about being sick? or should I just stick with Vegas (which is not that far from us and not that special either). Please help!! Thanks in advance, F_Wagenet
I Want To Be Married Now!? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Ladies, I need any input possible. I wanted to have a wedding at home at first, but i don't have a lot of guests from my side and lets just say even though he has a HUGE family, they aren't the friendliest. I really just want the two of us to be married..... even if we just have a notary do it, but I dont want to look back and regret it. So here are my ideas. - Get married, and go on a cruise and do a Vowel Renewal Package, not only is it cheaper, but its something simple with just the two of us. - Or, get married in Florida, like the day before or morning before boarding a cruise. I just dont know anything about Florida. Where would I look at to find someone who may could marry us on the beach or at our hotel, the day before or morning of our Honeymoon Cruise. Also, here's a little history on our situation. We have been together for almost 9 years, (since we were 16). We have one daughter, and have everything that married couples have, except for the papers and the same last name. I just want us to be married, like yesterday, so it's so hard for me to wait until May 2010. Urrrrr, Im just ready to be married already..... Anyways, thanks for listening, and again any advice or inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Honeymooning in DC. Where to stay? What to do? My fiance and I live in NY and are looking for a honeymoon spot that wont be a pain in the butt to get to. He has never been to DC before so were thinking there. We want to stay within close proximity to all the touristy stuff. What hotels would you recommend? We definitely don't want to spend more than a few hundred per night. Ideally I would like to find a hotel that offers some kind of honeymoon package (I read somewhere about a limo tour of the monuments and a private cruise on the river). Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Specialty dining on the Norwegian Jewel? My husband and I are going on a belated honeymoon on the Norwegian Jewel. We are leaving out of New York (we live in Brooklyn) in 2 weeks. This is our 2nd cruise and 1st with NCL. Our last cruise was on the Carnival Imagination and they did not offer the specialty dining rooms on that ship. Anyway, my questions about the specialty dining is this: Say we make a reservation for Cagney's Steakhouse. The cover charge is approx $20 each. Does that cover the meal or do we pay a la carte as well? So we could ultimately wind up spending over $100 for the dinner probably not including the wine? I am just not sure if it both a cover charge and an a la carte menu or one or the other. We purchased the honeymoon package and part of that includes a free dinner at Le Bistro and a free bottle of wine. So at least we get one specialty dining option. Anyone who is familiar with this please offer your experience. Thank you.
Norwegian Cruise Line question.? Hello, I am from Egypt. I'm about to get married and for Honeymoon I want to surprise my future wife with this.. I want to Book the 15 days Europe-Mediterranean Barcelona-Venice Package. http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/destination/itineraries.html?shipCode=&destinationCode=EUROPE&subDestinationCode=EUROPE.MEDITERRANEAN&duration=15 I want to be able to disembark (leave boat) at Alexandria port since it would involve additional cost returning by air from Venice, against my bitter judgement to complete the trip. My question: Can NCL agree that I disembark at Alexandria so that it's closer to home. I know that I'll pay for the whole voyage for both of us, but I wanna make sure they allow people to disembark at their preference, If there is like a form for commercial purposes that I forfeited the rest of the journey (Venice leg of the trip) I'd be happy to sign.. Thanks for your help.
Is 5 nights enough for my honeymoon in Hawaii? I'm getting married in a few weeks in Maui. We only booked 5 nights & one of those days will be taken up entirely with the wedding, marriage license appointment, hair & makeup for me, the ceremony, etc. Also I got the package that comes with a facial or massage, an excursion of our choice (we're doing the dinner cruise), and it also comes with a dinner on the evening of our choice at the hotel restaurant, and a picnic lunch on a different day. So, with that said. Is 5 days even enough? The couple that's going with us is staying for 9 nights. It's going to cost A LOT to change flight dates now ($150 pp service fee plus however much more the flights are now) and of course adding more days to our room ($345 per night) so I want to ask everyone's advice before paying so much to change it. Thanks Yahoo people!! No I wouldn't be paying with a credit card. I'm just asking because the airfare rates are higher everyday.
Funny or not ? Two newlyweds are riding in the back of a limo on the way to their honeymoon boat cruise. The husband says, "Honey, I want to stop and pick up some condoms before we go." "Good idea," she says. "While you're in there, pick me up some Dramamine (sea sickness medicine)." The groom gets out, walks into the drugstore and says to the clerk, "I'd like a box of condoms and a package of Dramamine, please." "Yes sir, says the clerk, "but do you mind if I ask you a question? If it makes you nauseous, why do you do it?"

Should we have a destination wedding? My fiance and I LOVE movies and are really kids at heart. We've always wanted to visit DisneyWorld, and so I was looking at vacation deals for the park and Disney Cruise Line. I stumbled across packages for Weddings AND honeymoons and I absolutely LOVE the idea of getting married there! It's so US! So my question is, for those of you who had a destination wedding, did you like it? Or do you wish you would've had a traditional wedding where lots of people could attend? And for those of you who didn't, what do you think the pros and cons would be? Also, we would have a large reception when we got back. Thanks for your input!
Spending money in Maldives? We are going for honeymoon to the Maldives on one of those all inclusive packages - How much spending money do you think we would need for a 5 night stay there? We plan to Visit Male, cruise around the Islands and do some snorkelling - we dont have any equipment.
which 1 is best? Royal Caribbean VS. Carnival 4 honeymooners? Hi, My fiance and I are planning to go on a cruise for our Honeymoon in December. We depart from San Juan but I really can't decide which cruise line should I pick. Is Royal Caribbean (Adventure) good for 21yr old honeymooners or Carnival Victory (or any other cruise ship)? Which one is best? We want to cherish that moment and basically have a fun time! + in these two ships which one includes tips in the whole price package? Hope you can help. Serious answers only.... THANK YOU! P.S. This is the first time we go on a cruise My wedding is on the 19th of December but we want to go to our honeymoon on the 20th of December. We depart from San Juan because we live in Puerto Rico :)
How to plan a trip to St. John? I am trying to plan a late honeymoon for my husband and me. I don't want to go on another cruise. I really want to fly to St. John Island and stay for about four nights/five days. I have never planned a vacation like this before so I'm not sure where to start. Do they have packages that include air and hotel, or what? Have any of you plan this kind of vacation before and know any helpful information that I may need to know? Basically how would I go about planning this trip. Thanks for any advice!
Wedding without guests or family members? how to do it? I'm married, but i never had a wedding. I want to have a wedding, the problem is that we live far far away from my family, and my family is very small. My husband has no family at all. I was planning on a wedding cruise for just me and my husband...but i'm not sure. Do you have any wedding ideas for my wedding? DO you know of any package with wedding and honeymoon? can you help me? My husband wants to get "married" when he gets back from afghanistan in 11 months (he is deployed there). I want something unforgettable. I'm not a big fan of partying so missing the reception will be no problem. But I do want a cake. Please help me.
Where can I find a vacation package to meet my tropical needs? We want to go on a tropical honeymoon, where we can be on a cruise ship, but also where we get the chance to get off the boat and hike to waterfalls. But we also want to snorkel and stuff like that. I really just want to be able to see exotic falls. I am not sure where to look, or how to know if a certain package offers waterfall sight-seeing. Does anyone know of any suggestions? Which cruises are there that people know for sure offer sight-seeing tours? What area (Bahamas, New Zealand, Jamaca) have watefalls? Any chance that they allow swimming in waterfall waters? Where can I find more information?
Would you buy this vacation package? My husband and I bought a vacation package last year (the exact same trip we went on for our honeymoon), but we have not had the time to take this vacation. We have decided to sell it since I am due to give birth any day and we also need the money. It's a trip to Fort Lauderdale/Orlando Florida and a cruise to the Bahamas. There are lots of activities to choose from and always something fun to do. It was my favorite vacation with the best memories ever. If you were looking to buy a vacation package, is this something YOU would be interested in? We bought it for $1400, so we'll probably try to sell it for $1000 since we want to sell it in time to purchase things for the new baby. [[I'm not trying to sell it HERE, but just curious if you think it might sell well.]]
need help for upcoming alaska trip!? im planning to go back to alaska next year, but this time my husband and i want a different experience. we were just there for our honeymoon in may-june, and it was amazing! we went on a cruise and we visited the southeast region. this time we want to explore the "wild area"; we would like to check out denali and fairbanks, but what else is out there? we dont want to do any of those annoying tours where we need to travel in busses for hours and everything seems rushed... we still want to have a tour guide/group or something, but we want to take our time and see more than what we saw on the cruise. also i would like to experience alaska in the colder times with less daylight possible and the aurora borealis(norther lights)... so what it the best time of the year and where would you suggest to go and see? should we just rent a car and explore the wild ourselves or should we book a tour package? note: we both dont like camping, so are there any B&B or any kind of facilities?
