Bridal Show winning - all inclusive honeymoon by Simplicity Gourmet - Is this something I should avoid? I attended a bridal show on sunday and registered at the Pink Apron Simplicity Gourmet booth for a free all inclusive honeymoon. I was called last night stating that I won a gift package - 2 night 3 day all inclusive honeymoon to my choice of costa rica, dominican republic or mexico. I also get 2 his and her embroidered aprons and 20% off Invitations thank you notes and wedding accessories. They asked that I attend a cooking preview at a local hotel for 90 min. and they stated that I dont have to purchase there product and still keep my vacation. I was skeptical that this is a scam and so i researched about it on the net. Lots of people say dont go its a scam and stop at the telephone call or receive the call but dont attend the show. Some people go through with the whole thing and go on the vacation - say all they had to pay were taxes, airfare and a reservation fee. If this is like a discounted honeymoon im interested, but if these people are going to be an annoying part of my life even after the trip im not ( i dont want them contacting me afterwards ). I understand they are pushy like sales people are. I guess I just want to know if its a good idea to give it a shot?

Affordable All inclusive Honeymoon? Well, I looked at Sandals.com and they're cheapest package for one week is about $2,000. My fiance and I will not have that kind of money but we really just want to lay on the beach and be lazy. Maybe a massage or facial, maybe some mixed drinks and obviously we'll need meals. Best Honeymoon Under $3000? I'm getting married in July 2009 and looking to leave immediately on a mid-July honeymoon. My fiance and I are looking for a quiet, romantic beach honeymoon (neither of us drink or gamble so nightlife is a bit of a negative, though water sports would be great). We want to keep everything under $3000--airfare, room, side trips, food, souvenirs, and all-inclusive would be great. I really want a very nice (4+,5 star resort) with a honeymoon package like a candlelit dinner on the beach and flowers/towel arrangements, etc. We've thought about Jamaica and Riviera Maya in Mexico (really like El Dorado Seaside Suites by Karisma, but the price may be just a bit too steep). free honeymoon?? I got a call from this place called "Southern Bride" today telling me my fiance' & I had been registered to win a free honeymoon package and we were chosen. I don't remember registering for anything but I may have.. I've registered for all kind of brosures and stuff. Honeymoon options: Fiji or Asia? Here's the thing: we had our 2 week honeymoon all booked for Hawaii and Mexico, except there's all this political turmoil going on in Mexico now so we've decided to cancel that part. From Hawaii, should we go to Fiji (bonus: direct flight, only 6 hours, probably amazing experience) or somewhere in Asia, like Thailand or China? (drawback: no direct flights to China, 15 hours total travel time, same as going from NYC where we live. Thailand has an even longer connection time. Although the bonus is, they are both much cheaper)? Any advice? We don't want to get bored on our honeymoon, so I'm thinking Fiji and Hawaii might be too similar. Also, Fiji is pretty expensive, the package would take up everything we got back from Mexico, although that was all inclusive and this would not be. Thanks!

How much should I plan on spending on my Virgin Islands wedding this summer? I am getting married in St. John's, and I'm trying to figure my budget. I'm not a big spender, but it is my wedding/honeymoon so I don't plan on camping out. Also, any opinions on all inclusive packages with a travel agent vs booking on my own? And what about spending money for touristy crap? One more Q, rent a vehicle or use taxi everywhere? I am looking for a stress free wedding and honeymoon, but I don't want to break the bank. I'm hoping to spend under 4K for everything so we can still afford to pay the bills when we get back. I know that the 2 biggest expenditures are the plane tickets at around 1k and lodging at about the same. Any 1st hand knowledge would be great.

Turks & Caicos? Are there any all inclusive or package resorts in Turks & Caicos that would make a great honeymoon destination? Preferably somewhere with no kids and a lot of privacy.

Looking for an Carribean beach vacation with kids? Hello, The wife and I have finally decided to go tropical. Other than our wonderful honeymoon (Hawaii) which was 8 years ago, we've never been anywhere tropical. We have three daughters (6 years, 4 years and 1 year) and we had heard about all-inclusive kid-friendly packages in places like Jamaica, Turks/Caicos, etc. The amount of information out there is over-whelming and we aren't sure where to start. What we are looking for: 1. A place where there are camps/activities for the kids (all ages listed above) where we can pick and choose when to 'dump them off' and when to keep them with us for the day. 2. Beaches that are family friendly ... no crazy riptides/waves, not loaded with lots of oiled up single people, not over-crowded. 3. Good amount of food/drink options! (i.e. not a place with very limited food options) 4. Somewhat affordable? Willing to spend 5K (give or take) for a week Looking to go sometime between late January and May? Which is the best place to go on a honeymoon in the islands? I am looking into honeymoon options for the beginning of june. I've never been to any of these places so am looking for people who have and who could recommend a few of the best islands? I'm looking at Aruba, Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Kits, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, etc. I am moreso looking for an all inclusive package for 7-10 nights. Thanks for the help!! :)

Have you ever been to Grenada? am possibly going to go to Grenada for honeymoon next year. I am looking for any information regarding this venue. I would like to read about your respective stories having been there or due to go there. I am hoping to get some information regarding the following: Flights: Where from (uk), how much, duration, what to do on flight tec..... Resorts: Hotels or appartments recommended or not recommended! Costing in general: IE food, drink, all inclusive packages etc..... Activities and tourist attractions to try out and/or avoid! Any problems to look out for in particular? Sandals Resort for honeymoon? Just curious to see who has gone to any of the Sandals Resorts for their honeymoon and which Sandal Resort? How was the trip and was it worth it?
