Is beginning of September a good time to go to Mexico (honeymoon for 2 weeks)? We were thinking of going to Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon. But I'm a lil worried about the weather: rainy season & possible hurricane. Anybody knows how bad the rains are in Sept? Has anyone been to Aventura Spa Palace in Rivera Maya, Mexico? If so, what did you think? We booked this all-inclusive resort for our honeymoon. We've never been to Mexico or to an all-inclusive resort. So I was just looking for others opinions of this place. Thanks!!

Quiet Honeymoon in Mexico? So we are getting married in June. We are looking for a place in Mexico that is a little off the beaten path, we dont want to be at those 900+ room hotels , more of a villa type atmosphere, must be beach front, and it would be cool to be in an area with scenery, like mountains (we like hiking). Does anyone know about a place that this describes and do you have any links? Thanks.

Honeymoon in Mexico and scared to fly? Mexico - stay in resort or explore? Hi, I'm going on my Honeymoon to Mexico in September (all inclusive) but some people have told me its dangerous to venture outside the resort. Is this true? If so why? I dont mind staying in the resort mostly, but would like to see a bit of Mexico including going to Cozumel for the day. We are going for one week in Cancun and one week in Riviera Maya!

Applying for a passport for travel to Mexico Aug. 5th? I would like some information for those of you who have traveled to Mexico recently and did not have a passport. A special bill was passed on June 8th that allowed travelers -who had not yet received their passport - the ability to return from a list of countries if they had a receipt of their passport purchase. My Questions: Did you have to order the expedited (costlier) method of delivery? How long did it take from the time of the application until the copy of your receipt was available on the internet? Just trying to see if a Honeymoon in Mexico starting August 5th will be feasible.

Best place in Mexico to go on your honey moon? So, I dont know the first thing about Mexico. My fiancee and I want to go to Mexico for our honeymoon, but we don't know where exactly. We want to go all inclusive, but don't know what resort to stay at, we also want a little bit of everything, the beaches, swim with the dolphins, snorkling, horseback riding, and so on. We dont want to go somewhere where there will be alot of kids, because its our honeymoon..so I assume that Cancun is out. Also, were getting married in October, and I was thinking we would have to wait a month to leave because of hurricane season and what not. Going to cancun mexico for my honeymoon in July for about 9 days. We are staying at a beautiful all inclusive resort...but I also don't want to stay there for 9 days and 9 nights during the day, night and for all our meals. We are in our mid 20's, not big partiers, so we're not looking for a "club" to hang out at night...are there any cute romantic restaurants to go to there...any place you'd recommend to honeymooners...maybe even something festive like a salsa club....any suggestions on a cute, nice classy place/lounge/restaurant etc to go to while there? We are staying at Le Blanc. We looked at other places in mexico, but could not resist passing up on the amazing cancun beaches and we figured with a couples only type resort, we wouldn't really be in the midst of all the big time partiers.
